Focus of Research
Dr. Mendler (*1989) works in the field of structural dynamics and vibration analysis of structures. He specialized on the analysis of ambient vibrations, operational modal analysis and vibration-based structural health monitoring. The goal of his research is to develop new methods for the performance assessment and quality control of monitoring systems.
- Vibration analysis of structures
- Automated damage detection and localization
- Structural health monitoring
- Optimal sensor placement
- Performance assessment of monitoring systems
